Ambica Nair loves the process of painting and prefers to work with a syringe and Indian ink, though her mediums and techniques vary for different pieces. This is what makes each of her paintings truly unique. About syringes, she says, “I achieved joy in the use of a syringe, with which I get the freedom of contours and lines”. To her, painting is akin to exercise. She calls it ‘action painting’ because she uses her lungs as much as her hands.
