Bhagya Ajaikumar is a visual artist based in India and in the United States. She earned her Masters in Fine Arts Degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She enriches her artist profession by participating in group and solo exhibitions.
Bhagya is the Founding Director and Curator of Swasti Contemporary Art Gallery, Bangalore established in 2007, a gallery for a Cause, housed in the Health Care Global hospital (HCG), a specialty in cancer care. Swasti is a non-profit gallery that provides an aesthetic oasis to patients and their families. Swasti aims to promote Indian and International artists through Exhibitions and Residencies. It’s aim is to provide funds for the HCG Foundation through art sales to help financial support to the most needy patients.
Bhagya has served as a visiting Professor, in the Department of Visual Arts at Bangalore University, graduate program (from 2014 till 2019), at the University School of Design, Manasagangotri in Mysore (from 2007 to 2012) and at the Chamarajendra Academy of Fine Arts in Mysore (from 2008 to 2013).
