It all started when I was a child; growing up in a Vadgaon Rasai, I would spend my days being outside and taking in the beautiful sights’ nature had to offer. As my love for nature grew with age and time, I decided to become an Artist and went ahead to study Art at Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai. I am big fan of Artist Ravi Mandlik and his abstract paintings.
In college, I would invest my time in creating landscapes, seascapes and experimenting with various techniques till ultimately found a connect in making Abstract-Nature-Landscapes. (Nature-Abstraction)
To me, nature is a fine artist and an architect that offers a diverse palette of amazing sceneries. As an artist, my practice is focused on becoming aware of my surroundings and translating that experience on to my canvas. Each piece that I create has its own aura that is further enhanced by geometric angles and added elements that are visible in the given area. I spend time in viewing every sight from different points of view. The addition of elements (such as – boats, ships, forms, trees, mountains etc.) in my paintings has become a source of unlimited possibilities that I can explore for my next piece and also adds a sense of mystery, that a curious mind would want to explore.
Nature is a story-teller, listen to her with an open heart and protect it. I believe that my homeland has given me so much, that my artwork is a way of showing gratitude and sharing my story with people around the world.
I am happy to a part of the HCG Foundation campaign to help Prajwal. I hope my contribution to this cause will encourage others to also do their bit in making a change in another person’s life.
