Art and design, prose and poetry; were my passion from the earliest of my days as far as I can recall. As a teenager, I was very curious about art and began exploring the diverse field. My early inquisitions into art led to a phase of trial and error along with a lot of experimentation, that has shaped me into a keen observer and the artist I am today.

I later spent the prime years of my life pursuing Engineering and working as an IT professional. As the days went by and the nights grew longer, I finally gave in to my life’s calling – Fine Arts! Thus, began my journey as a full-time artist. This moment redefined me as an individual and honestly it felt like home coming when I made this decision; since then I have not looked back and enjoy taking on different subjects to paint my thoughts. I dabble in watercolors, acrylics and charcoal to create my pieces — with watercolors being my all-time favorite, I continue to be smitten by the translucency and fluidity of the medium.

As an artist my practice spans across a wide range of topics: – from Bengaluru’s plein air paintings, to Hampi’s rustic and heritage sites, giving life to Vintage-Era Automobiles, to painting Sparrows that once filled Bengaluru’s skies with their melodies, to painting the majestic Elephants; the protectors of the forests, along with the stories of the people from various villages. My work has been appreciated and is very well received at various forums in India and across 12 countries overseas.

With gratitude to my patrons, I would like to share here that, I’m a recipient of the: – MSME Women Entrepreneur Award (2020), BBMP Kempegowda Award (2012), and have been short-listed twice for the State Award – Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Award (2014, 2018). My work was also selected for the International Watercolor Society-India Biennale (2018).

In today’s testing times, human race has to come together in helping each other. HOPE campaign by HCG Foundation is a very noble pursuit. It is very gratifying for me that through this campaign, i can be a ray of HOPE in someone’s life!
Thank you HCG!
